Sewer Lines First

Look Inside the Pipe Before Anyone Quotes.

A lot of Orem housing is old enough that the sewer line is the most expensive surprise hiding on the property. We scope main sewer lines with a camera before anyone quotes a fix, show you the footage, and only then talk about repair, lining, or replacement.

We finished trenchless liner installs here in June 2026, and on one Orem property our crew replaced a long run of sewer and water main from a shored trench. Court explains how to tell if you have a sewer line problem and what pipe lining is.

“Sewer repairs are by nature expensive but we felt like it was a fair deal for fair work.” MaryAnn B., Google review, Orem location

Same Licensed Team. Same Standard.

Orem is our newest location, and the everyday mix is what a working shop sees: indoor leaks, general repairs, water heater diagnostics, tankless maintenance, boiler work, faucets, and 24/7 emergencies.

It runs on the same standards as Sandy and Bountiful: same licensed team, same clear quotes, same 3-hour appointment window. Every tech here is held to the A STEPP standard: Accountability, Safety, Trust, Excellence, Progress, Positivity.

Thomas was awesome in helping us get our water heater replaced. Can’t recommend these guys enough!

Chandler came out a few days after calling and took the time to test everything with my water heater. He went above and beyond fixing it and did it all in a few hours. I would highly recommend

James W.

Great customer service! Came late in the day and answered all questions. Several plumbing issues over two homes and put a plan together for all. Very knowledgeable and knew his stuff.

Katie R.

Thomas was a delight! I had a problem with my shower cartridge and had a different company come out first, but wasn’t very happy with the solution or service. Thomas came out and fixed the issue first try, and was friendly and informative to boot. So excited to have things resolved in one easy visit!

Sarah C.

Job done quickly and efficiently. Thomas was very knowledgeable.

Gina B.

I’m so glad I chose Rare Breed Plumbing! Kyler was exceptional in helping us investigate a plumbing odor. He was knowledgeable, thorough, and very easy to talk with. He walked us through the diagnostic process, explained what he was checking and why, and he even answered all of my questions clearly and logically along the way. On top of his expertise, he was genuinely kind and professional. AND he put on Shoe covers, love that!

I also want to recognize Kylee, their scheduler, for her excellent communication throughout the process. She made it so easy!

After such a positive experience from start to finish and with Kyler having such positive things to say about his company, I would confidently recommend Rare Breed Plumbing and would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you!

Spencer H.

Colson and Nathan came out after the burner on our old hot water heater went out. They diagnosed the issue and gave us options to repair or replace the water heater. It was a no pressure discussion but helped us understand the short term and long term investment in our options. I appreciate the the speedy response and got us back up and going within a couple of hours. Thank You

Jared P.

Do you cover all of Utah County from Orem?

The Orem shop covers Orem, Provo, Lindon, Vineyard, Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Lehi, and the surrounding cities. Farther south is case by case, so ask when you book. The shop is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with 24/7 emergency service.

Should I get a sewer scope before buying a home in Orem?

Yes. It is one of the cheapest ways to avoid the most expensive surprise in an older home. We run camera scopes regularly and you get the footage, not just our word.

Do you work on tankless water heaters?

Yes, install, repair, and the yearly maintenance tankless units need in hard-water country. We ran tankless maintenance in Orem in June 2026.

How hard is Orem's water?

Moderately hard. The City of Orem’s 2025 water quality report lists hardness between 5.7 and 9.9 grains per gallon (104 to 170 mg/L). That is softer than much of Salt Lake and Davis County, but it still leaves scale in tankless heat exchangers and faucet cartridges over time, so we check your water before recommending a softener. Source: City of Orem 2025 water quality report.

Do I need a permit to replace a water heater in Orem?

Yes. Orem lists water heater installs and replacements, boiler replacements, and plumbing work among the jobs that need a building permit. Permits for minor replacements like a water heater are applied for online and are usually processed within one business day. Replacing a plumbing fixture, like a faucet or toilet, does not need one. Source: City of Orem, What Needs a Permit.

Does the Orem shop handle heating and air too?

Yes. Rare Breed handles heating and air as well as plumbing, so one shop covers the whole house. See furnace repair, air conditioning service, and boiler repair.
